938: Success Begets Success With Ginny Gong
Ginny is an accomplished educator, motivational speaker, experienced human resource administrator/trainer, talk show host, and highly respected community leader. As a frequently requested speaker, she has addressed groups of a few to crowds of thousands. Ginny was the first Asian American appointed to head a County agency in Montgomery County, MD, when she was named Director of the Community Use of Public Facilities Office, responsible for coordinating the community’s use of the County’s public facilities and managing its multimillion-dollar Enterprise Fund in 1998. Prior to that, she was an administrator/educator in school systems for more than two decades. Ginny has served on numerous Boards and Commissions, including the Board of Advisors to the University of Maryland System, Montgomery Community Television, Leadership Montgomery, The Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium, the MC Police Chief Advisory Council, the Governor’s Commission on New Americans (1st chair), the Governor’s Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs, and others.
