<p>Kara Talve is a Grammy and four-time Emmy Award-nominated composer for film and television, and she is a principal composer at Bleeding Fingers Music. Founded by Hans Zimmer and Steve Kofsky, Bleeding Fingers Music is a custom scoring company in the film and television industry.</p> <p>Talve is known for scoring the first two seasons of Apple TV+’s PREHISTORIC PLANET, narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Jon Favreau in collaboration with BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit. The score received global acclaim, including a Primetime Emmy nomination, a win for Best Original Score for a Documentary Series at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and a nomination for the 2022 Bulldog Television Broadcast Awards.</p> <p>Other recent scores included THE TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ for Sky TV alongside Hans Zimmer, the Baz Luhrmann-directed FARAWAY DOWNS, THE AMERICAS, starring Tom Hanks, as well as serving as principal composer on the iconic animated series THE SIMPSONS since season 30.</p> <p>In May 2026, for TALKING SOUNDTRACKS on the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST, Jason Drury had the pleasure of talking to Kara via Zoom at her studio in Santa Monica.
