<p>"Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee." - Genesis 12:1</p><p>Abraham became the father of faith not through human will or positive thinking, but through a word from God. Notice the difference: In Genesis 11, people said "Let us, let us, let us..." but in Genesis 12, God said "I will, I will, I will..."</p><p>True faith isn't rooted in our desires or gut feelings - it's anchored in God's promises. Even when famine struck the promised land and Abraham's faith wavered, God remained faithful.
