We finish the story of Ruth right at Christmas time. Her story points us straight to Jesus. It shows us that Jesus doesn’t just want to save us from sin, He also wants a close, loving relationship with us. Even when people feel broken or beyond hope, God can bring them close to Himself. Just as God redeemed Naomi through the birth of Ruth’s son, He brings us into a right relationship with Him through His only Son, Jesus. Immanuel. God with us. The question is: will we surrender our lives to Him?
