<p><strong>I do not believe in cover-up culture.</strong> When abuse is reported, it should be taken seriously and handled through appropriate reporting and legal processes. The church must support this process, and I know most do.</p><p>At the same time, the path forward for the Church after allegations have been reported, is not always simple or universally agreed upon. What some interpret as “cover-up culture,” others may view as discretion exercised to protect those involved while proper processes unfold.
