Reading God’s Word: Luke 1:5-25; Psalm 45:1-7
Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 5:2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Meditating on God’s Word: Hebrews 1:8-9 (quoting Psalm 45:6-7) But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
Praying God’s Word: Lord, the writer of Hebrews gives us a backstage pass to the Trinity, and with it we see something incredible: the true King of Psalm 45 is Jesus! It was always meant to point to Him—the perfect King who reigns forever, rules with justice, and loves righteousness. He is the King we long for and the One we pray our leaders, pastors, and authorities would reflect. God, raise up leaders who love righteousness and hate wickedness, just as You do—leaders who give their lives in pursuit of the perfect King. Make us more like Jesus, we pray. Amen.
