Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 13:44 “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sell all that he has and buys that field. Praying God’s Word: “Lord, open our eyes to the beauty and treasure of Your Kingdom. We spend so much time and energy on things that do not matter in the end. Help us to seek out Your Kingdom first and live joyfully surrendered to You! Amen.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 13:31-32 He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” Praying God’s Word: “Lord, open my eyes to the way You are working all the time and the transformative work of Your kingdom. Too often I overlook the small things and miss your hand in my life. Open my eyes to this truth today. Amen.”

Reading God’s Word: Matthew 12:46-13:23; Psalm 14 Memorizing God’s Word: Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 12:50 “For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Praying God’s Word “Lord, these verses can be hard to understand but remind us that our deepest identity and belonging come from doing the will of the Father. We are commanded to love, honor and care for members of our family, but our priority needs to be pointing them back to You, not just making their lives comfortable. Help me to prioritize my life according to Your Word and to always choose to love You first. Amen.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 12:34b-35 “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.” Praying God’s Word: “Lord, when I read your words, they encourage me and more often convict me. I feel like I am a good person, but at times the words I speak tell a different story. Purify my heart and let my words be edifying to others and honoring to you. Amen.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I quiet myself before you and cast all my anxieties upon you, because I know that you care for me (I Peter 5:7). It Is not easy to release situations and people, but I am reminded that your yoke is light and carrying burdens is heavy. Although I may not understand, I desire to learn from you. I know the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen and Amen!”
