Emotional Freedom

There’s so much emotional weight and exhaustion in our current culture because of our reaction to Social Media. This affects our perception of self and how we live our lives. If we are constantly judging others and overly critical, we begin to feel terrible. This is especially true if we judge ourselves in a negative way.
Social Media is teaching us to judge something in 15 seconds or less—in a hundred characters or less. We often don’t have context or the full picture. Our quick scrolling has sped up the speed of our judgement. We are training our minds to decipher things and come to conclusions faster.
This begins a process of physicalizing and responding. This can lead to mental anguish and exhaustion. To combat this problem, we need to become more aware of how we’re feeling and reacting to what we consume. It starts with acknowledging our emotions, taking the right actions of integrity and learning to move on. It’s easy to judge others. It’s easy to judge ourselves. It’s far more difficult to demonstrate the emotional restraint to thoughtfully evaluate something before choosing to react.
Each day, we can mindfully make strides to better ourselves. We can slowly become more aware of our judgments and reactions. This is emotional freedom.
