Wandering into the Woods is a podcast to encourage listeners to create their own adventures by exploring the world around them. It chronicles the adventures of Team Adventures with BeeGee, a group of friends and relatives in Central Texas. The hosts, Jarrett and Linda, talk about their outdoor adventures, including hiking, camping, caving, kayaking, and rafting. Together, they describe what it's like exploring the outdoors as a newbie or city-dweller, like Linda, or as an experienced outdoors person, like Jarrett.

Rescuing animals is not for the faint of heart. Every day, volunteers go out of their way to rescue animals in danger of harm, including unnecessary euthanasia. Recently, Linda decided to stop fearing everything that could go wrong with volunteering and just jump in to help save a few dogs by driving them on part of a freedom ride. Jarrett helped her make sure everything was ok at home so she could do the transport and assisted her when she brought an unexpected visitor home. In this episode, they share one of their most adventurous experiences thus far, and how to prepare to volunteer for your first freedom ride.

The trail travels through connecting public lands of the Sam Houston National Forest and private lands. It also happens to be the longest continuous hiking trail in the State of Texas.

The park has pavilions restrooms, 3 miles of paved trails, 3 miles of unpaved trails, and 3 miles of biking trails. If you need a break from city life, you don't have to go far. Just make a quick stop to Arbor Hills.
