The Bible is very clear in Luke 16:10 that God already knows if he can trust us with more based on how faithful or trustworthy we are with what we have right now. The reality is, we often want more before giving more or practicing sacrificial generosity. But God is not concerned with how we steward what we don't have but rather what's already in our hand. What we choose to do with the money we currently have is a test, a trust test. In fact, there's only one time in all of the Bible that God says, "Test me... I dare you." And that test is with money, more specifically, the tithe. What is the tithe? And what is it not?
