<p>This Sunday we jumped back into what is perhaps the most encouraging chapter in all of the Bible, Romans 8. We call it the “Great 8!” But is it too encouraging? What I mean is, sometimes if we are honest as believers, it can be hard to get excited about verses that say we are “more than conquerors,” when we feel like anything but conquerors. </p><p><br></p><p>Sometimes life is so hard that the gap between what we read and how we live feels massive, especially in passages like Romans 8. This chapter tells us that as believers we get to “put on” victory. But instead I often put on shame, anxiety, offense, greed, etc. But as conquerors these things do not fit us anymore. And when we wear things that do not fit us, it creates the discomfort we sometimes feel in life. </p><p><br></p><p>This week Jesus wants to put new spiritual shoes on our feet, ones that actually fit us as conquers.
