She works with families who are navigating the end of life and all of the challenges that come with it. Twila is actively working toward obtaining her clinical or LCSW license and hopes to have that by the end of the year. Twila has worked professionally in mental health for seven years, but has worked as a patient advocate for her entire career.Before joining the healthcare field, she was the Executive Director of the Galveston County Food Bank, helping families facing food insecurity. She has also worked alongside former U.S. Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul, where she served as his communications and constituent outreach coordinator for over six years. She has also held leadership roles for non-profits in the area, including BACA, the Boy Scouts of America, the Resource and Crisis Center, and her church, Living Stones in Alvin. Twila is also the proud mom to an 18-year-old, a 15-year-old, and a 10-year-old.
