Michael joins the conversation to share how he made the decision to leave an established career in California and move his family to the East Coast for an amazing opportunity at The Washington Post.  What we talk about today: - Moving on from the San Diego Union-Tribune and teaching as a professor at Palomar College to accept a position as a News Designer at The Washington Post. - That feeling or "itch" that makes you ask yourself: Could I do better? Is there something else for me? - The decision making process and involving his wife and family.  - What impacts the decision: family, partner, career.  - Making a list of all the requirements before making the change; both professionally and personally. - Understanding how his parents made a life changing decision to benefit the family, and how he found himself in a similar position. - What the opportunity of working at The Washington Post means to him.
