Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran once said, “You give but little, when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself, that you truly give”. And our special guest on this week’s brand new episode of “Libnanie with Elie” embodies this very quality. Rebecca Melham, food and travel blogger of Hearty Food Voyage, joins us all the way from Bordeaux, France to discuss her recent 5-day trip to Lebanon, eating “ashta” ice cream for the very first time, reconnecting with her father’s roots, the cultural difference between Lebanese and Australian people, the mature conversation of children in Lebanon, and grassroots strategies that Lebanese citizens can implement towards a better Lebanon. In the spirit of giving, the Master of International Law graduate has also produced a YouTube video of her recent trip to Lebanon; raw footage that captures the beauty and charm that we call home.
