What isn’t going according to plan? And how might that be good for me?</em></p><p>April asks us to step into Deep Faith.</p><p>The current of the river is strong and it looks intimidating. What normally feels second-nature to us suddenly seems out of our control.</p><p>In the quickening chaos of Aries energy, we’re reminded that wisdom doesn’t move at the pace of logic. Some of the most challenging transits of April are also the most generative – even if it doesn’t seem like it when it’s unfolding.</p><p>The work is to recognize that wisdom is cultivated over time. And it requires you to fully immerse in the experiences that life presents.</p><p>As the old saying goes, <em>“You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day. Even more so than travel.”</p><p>For many in the astrology and tarot world, Jeff Hinshaw is no stranger. You may know him through his deeply beloved podcast Cosmic Cousins or the Brooklyn Fools Tarot Journey.</p><p>Recently, Jeff and I caught up to discuss the process of creating Travel Tarot, in which Jeff collaborated with Lonely Planet and Studio Muti. </p><p>Specifically, we discussed how the deck deepened his embodied understanding of the Mercury retrograde phases and sharpened his awareness of creative synchronicities.</p><p>It’s an expansive deck that’s also gentle to the nervous system – an energetic signature I always feel whenever I interact with both Jeff as a person and his work. I know that this deck will expand many people’s relationship with the tarot, and the world at large.</p><p>Jeff also generously shared his current process as a practitioner and a human walking his path. Being you. Responding as you. </p><p>Then out of left field, something you said set them off. </p><p>Your perspective, your phrasing, your tone, <em>something in the way you showed up</em> activated them in ways that are unpleasant to everyone involved.</p><p>I must admit, I’m dissatisfied by the easier explanation of: <em>“Oh, they’re just projecting onto you. Don’t worry about it.” </em></p><p>Because while that’s usually true, I know that this experience, like everything in life, is a fantastic opportunity for me to also look at my own stuff.</p><p>So, what’s going on here? Is there more than what meets the eye? How might we take this painful experience and tend to what is ours to process, while releasing that which aren’t?</p>
