<p><strong>Richard Tait CBE is Professor of Journalism at Cardiff University. Previously he was editor of <em>Newsnight, Channel 4 News</em>, Editor-in-Chief of ITN, and a BBC governor, trustee and chair of the Trust’s editorial standards committee.
