Flash flooding warnings, Labor wins SA election | ABC News Top Stories

<p>Josephine Asher with the top stories.</p><p>Communities in the Top End are being warned of potentially life threatening flash flooding as Tropical Cyclone Narelle brings heavy rain and strong winds.</p><p>The storm has been downgraded to a category two system after crossing the coast as a category three.</p><p>The Weather Bureau says Narelle will continue to weaken into a tropical low as it moves west, but could re-intensify as it approaches WA tomorrow.</p><p>Labor has comfortably won re-election in South Australia, while One Nation appears to have achieved its best electoral result anywhere in the country in nearly 30 years.</p><p>As counting continues, One Nation is polling more than 21 per cent of the vote — ahead of the Liberals on around 19 per cent.</p><p>The Energy Minister has confirmed some fuel shipments destined for Australia have either been deferred or cancelled because of the war in the Middle East.</p><p>Australia  has 38 days worth of petrol and 30 days worth of diesel and jet fuel in its strategic reserves.</p><p>Chris Bowen acknowledged there will be some "bumps" but reassured Australians, there's enough fuel to meet demand for now.</p><p>The Middle East conflict has moved in a dangerous new direction, as Iran and Israel trade strikes on nuclear facilities.</p><p>Hours after it claimed an Israeli-US strike hit its main nuclear enrichment site at Natanz, Iran struck two communities near Israel's main nuclear research site, leaving several people seriously injured.</p><p>The International Atomic Energy Agency has called for restraint.</p><p>For more news at any time you can follow the ABC Top Stories podcast.</p><p>Press the 'Follow' or '+' button on this show page to add us to your playlist, so you never miss an episode.</p>
