F*ck Fine

In this episode of F**k Fine, I sit down with Daffney Allwein for a raw, honest conversation about what it really means to reclaim yourself after years of doing what’s expected. Together, we unpack identity, boundaries, healing, and the messy middle of growth — where peace, grief, and power all coexist. This isn’t a highlight reel — it’s two women talking about the real, unfiltered work of unbecoming everything we were taught we “should” be. You’ll hear them talk about: * The courage it takes to choose yourself — even when it’s uncomfortable * Why peace often feels messy before it feels calm * How grief and growth can exist side by side * Learning to listen to your intuition again (and trust it) * What it looks like to live life on your terms If you’ve been walking through a season of transition or rediscovery, this one will hit home. We’ve been sold the idea that peace looks like candles, bubble baths, and endless calm — but that’s the myth of “pretty peace.” In reality, peace isn’t always soft or serene. Sometimes it’s found in tears on the floor, setting boundaries that hurt, or letting go of relationships you wanted to keep. In this episode, I share what “ugly peace” has looked like in my own life — the moments that felt anything but peaceful, yet ultimately grounded me in alignment. Because peace isn’t about avoiding chaos; it’s about moving through it. You’ll hear: Why the myth of pretty peace keeps us stuck Real-life examples of what ugly peace can look like Why choosing uncomfortable peace now prevents bigger chaos later A grounding reminder that messy doesn’t mean wrong — it means real If peace feels anything but pretty in your life right now, take heart: you’re not failing. You might finally be getting it right. Get full access to Kari Hurd at kmhurd.substack.com/subscribe

Vision boards get a lot of hype—collage nights, stacks of magazines, maybe a little glitter glue. Cute? Sure. Life-changing? Not so much. For me, vision boards used to feel like neon signs pointing out everything I didn’t have. They sat in the corner collecting dust, and instead of motivating me, they just made me feel behind. In this episode, I’m breaking down what most people get wrong about vision boards (spoiler: it’s not about cutting out a picture of a mansion and waiting for the universe to deliver). Then I’ll show you what actually works—creating a vision that’s rooted in the essence of what you want to feel in your life. ✨ You’ll learn: * Why traditional vision boarding can backfire * The one shift that turns a poster into an actual roadmap * How to build a vision that grows with you instead of boxing you in If you’re tired of recycled Pinterest collages and ready for a vision that actually fits the life you’re creating, this one’s for you. “Should” almost killed me. Literally. For two decades, I lived the life I thought I was supposed to. I made choices that looked good on paper but didn’t feel good in my soul. And when I finally broke free, I realized why “should” still pisses me off so much today. This episode is a raw look at how I learned to trust myself instead of chasing other people’s definitions of “responsible” or “successful.” If you’re tired of living by “should,” this is your reminder—you don’t owe anyone a version of yourself that doesn’t feel true. Every Yes Comes with a Price Tag Ever said “yes” to something and instantly regretted it? That sinking, stomach-knot feeling that tells you… you knew better. We’ve been told to “say yes to everything” because you never know where it might lead. But here’s the thing—if your yes isn’t aligned with your energy, intuition, and values, it’s not an opportunity… it’s a drain. In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on how I decide what gets a hell yes and what gets a hard no. You’ll hear: * The 3 filters I run every decision through * How I plan my time so I’m not living in constant overcommitment * Why saying no more often actually creates more aligned opportunities This isn’t about becoming a “better” version of yourself—it’s about making choices that honor you right now. 🎧 Watch/Listen here on Substack or wherever you get your podcasts Link to my $27 journal: https://karihurd.myflodesk.com/journal Get full access to Kari Hurd at kmhurd.substack.com/subscribe
