It's the "tangents" episode! Stick with Rowan and Devin as they discuss 2025, vision boards, manifesting, being all of who we are, trusting our training, uncle so and so being a turd, trusting our heart to guide us, leaving space in our goals, and staying out of the chaos so we can hear the whispers. 

We've been hearing a lot about resilience lately. Some say it's important while others say no thanks-they'd rather not have to be so resilient. Rowan and Devin get into how they feel about it. They talk about challenges, getting stronger, and how recovery is essential to it.

Devin discusses the courage and persistence of the trans community and "the pain of resistance versus the gain of resilience."

They both talk about the holidays, chosen family, asking ourselves what we really want and cookies!

Rowan and Devin wish you a happy holiday and Devin says to remember, "There's a lot about you that's worth celebrating."

Also, Rowan wants to add that she mentions a book called "Choose Strong" but she has changed the title to "Nice Shmice." She will share more details next episode.

These are challenging times. In the wake of the Nov. 5, 2024 US election results, Rowan and Devin talk about responding to something that unexpectedly slams us to the mat. What do we do now? They say "we are strong, resilient and we know how to love." Devin shares about the amount of determination it takes to live as a trans person. And Rowan discusses, from a black belt perspective, finding our strength and responding strategically from there.

Heather Pace, chef, owner of Sweetly Raw Desserts, author, and Instagram foodie, joins Rowan to discuss her journey from dating men to finding true love with a woman. Heather shares about chasing the fairytale life we're all taught to want, finally saying enough, and finding love. She talks about how cultural norms got in the way of love and a real relationship and how love is love.

Rowan and Devin got together 5 years ago, then 2 years into their relationship Devin transitioned, female to male. Did Rowan lose the woman she fell in love with? Did she have to grieve the loss of that woman?

She fell in love with a woman but now he's a dude. Devin changed his pronouns from she/her to he/him. These are facts, but did Rowan lose anyone? Or anything? How did she deal with that and what does it mean to her?
