Summer Movie Preview
Monthly Theme: Keanu Reeves
It’s shaping up to be a beautiful spring in Chicago and Ryan and I have a NEED FOR SPEED!!! And, yes, that is a movie pun because we’re talking about Keanu Reeve’s 1994 masterpiece Speed!! To start our spring off, we’re kicking it to you all with a retro review complete with Homer J. Simpson first ever CinemaJaw appearance.
And if you think watching 30-year-old movies is the only way we’re welcoming in the fairest of the seasons, then you are dead wrong! We’re also coming in hot and heavy with our annual Summer Movie Preview episode, which for a stacked year like 2026, that was no easy task to do.
Plus, we’ve got two more reviews coming out at ya! Ryan got out and checked out Mother Mary – Anne Hathaway’s new flick about… well… that’s confusing to say. Let’s just say it’s about a pop star, and the music and visuals are truly something to behold. Plus, Adam Scott, president of the the “Two First Namers In Movies” association, has a new horror film called Hokum out. You already know Ryan checked this one out too.
We had a ball recording this one and we think you’re gonna love the listen!! And you better believe we’re gonna catch ya at the Music Box for the Chicago Critics Film Festival this weekend, right??
Love
