In every religion, prayer is an essential part of one’s spiritual practice that gives the individual the ability to be in union with God. Charles Fillmore defines prayer as: “Prayer is the communion between God and man. This communion takes place in the innermost part of man’s being. It is the only way to cleanse and perfect the consciousness and thus permanently heal the body. Prayer is the most highly accelerated mind action known. It steps up mental action until man’s consciousness synchronizes with the Christ Mind. It is the language of spirituality; when developed it makes man master in the realm of creative ideas. Prayer is more than supplication. It is an affirmation of Truth that eternally exists, but which has not yet come into consciousness. It comes into consciousness not by supplication but by affirmation.
It is necessary to pray believing that we have received because God is all that we desire. The good always exists in Divine Mind as ideas, and we bring it into manifestation through the prayer of faith, affirmation, praise, and acknowledgment. All through the Scriptures, the different attitudes of mind necessary in prayer are pointed out. We are told to be instant in prayer, to pray with the Spirit, to pray in understanding. We have thought that prayer was something we could go to, in any way, at any time. But we have learned that to get results, we must pray with persistence and understanding, and with faith. This practice establishes a consciousness where doubt cannot enter. Jesus was in this consciousness. Is it possible for the ordinary man? Yes. But he must watch and pray. He must not only pray; he must watch also.

Dr. Rocco Errico is a scholar, teacher, author, minister and Son of God, who has dedicated his life to the Aramaic study of The Bible. His works and teachings, gleaned from the simple straightforward Aramaic translation of The Bible have inspired and touched the hearts of thousands. For more than forty years, he has traveled the globe lecturing and teaching the simple truths, free from the dogma and doctrine of modern day Christianity providing spiritual enlightenment, healing, and a meaningful understanding of The Bible to people of all faiths, denominations, and backgrounds. In 1993 he was awarded a Doctorate in Letters from the University of Theologians (The Apostolic Succession of Antioch and the Eastern Church-American See). Dr. Errico authored his first book, Let There Be Light, The Seven Keys in 1972. The book is in its third publishing and is now translated into German. In 1975, he wrote The Ancient Aramaic Prayer of Jesus: The Lord’s Prayer, expanded and revised in 1997 and now titled Setting a Trap For God; translated into Spanish, German and Italian. And There Was Light, focusing on the ministry of Jesus was published in 1998. He has spent the last fifteen years completing and revising The Aramaic Light Series of Commentaries originally written by the late Dr. George M. Lamsa. The seven volumes of The New Testament Series include all the books from Matthew through Revelation and the first two volumes of The Old Testament Series from Genesis to Chronicles. He has been a contributing writer to the Science of Mind magazine for 28 years and has appeared on numerous radio and talk shows. He is the founder of the Noohra Foundation, dedicated to the work of Dr. George Lamsa and the continuation of the Aramaic work (www.noohra.com). Founded in 1975, The Foundation promotes research and publishes the Aramaic work of Dr. Errico and Dr. Lamsa.
