Now, if you’re like me, the initial impression of this first agreement is that it simply means “do as you say, say as you do” and “tell the truth…always.”.  Well, that’s only a minor part of it.

Almost every major religion/philosophy has a teaching about the power of words.  In Christianity it’s “the tongue has the power of life and death”.  In Buddhism it’s “Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind they can change our world.”
