Amaia is from Vitoria Gasteiz in Basque Country region of Northern Spain but currently resides in Castellón de la Plana just outside of Valencia. Amaia would try out Golf at the age of 3 years old and growing up would mix her time playing Football & Golf playing as a Defensive Midfielder for years before making the full time switch to Golf. Amaia would go to Deusto University in Bilbao and as an amateur would win 3 titles. In 2022 she would turn professional and would win 2022 Santander Golf Tour Player of the Year before winning the first 2 of her 4 pro titles on Santander Golf Tour in 2023 at Cadiz & La Coruña. In 2025, Amaia would win her 3rd pro title at Santander Golf Tour in Valencia and on LETAS would win Ahlsell Trophy in Sweden defeating Isabell Ekström in a Playoff at -8 to become a LET Access Series title winner. Just want to thank Amaia for being brilliant and she done really well in a 2nd language, I hope this gives her confidence to express herself more in future English interviews! Gracias!

In this latest episode, I was pleased to be joined by 2026 Allegria Stegerbasch Ladies Open winner Hanna Tauber who has had a good season on LET Access Series this year currently ranked 14th on LETAS Order of Merit standings. Hanna is from the Castrop Rouxel region of Germany near to the city of Dortmund and is a massive fan of Borussia Dortmund football team (find out who she blind ranks her teams former players from 1-8). Hanna would discover the game at round about 10 years old and describes the complexity of the game as one of the main factors. Hanna as a Junior would win 2022 International Junior Golf Masters, win 2023 NRW Championship AK 18 & finish runner up at 2023 German Matchplay as well as a 5th at Scottish Girls’ & 24th at the prestigious Helen Holm Amateur Championship. Hanna would start her pro journey on Sunshine Ladies Tour in South Africa in 2025 before plying her trade on LET Access Series finishing 35th at Montauban, 14th at Czech Challenge & 14th at PGA Championship Sweden before a brilliant 2nd at the season ending Calatayud Ladies Open in Spain. In her first LETAS start of the season Hanna would win her maiden professional title at Allegria Stegerbasch Ladies Open in Austria defeating Ragga Kristinsdottír by 2 shots. Not too long afterwards back in Germany at Wuppertaler would see Hanna take the 36 hole lead going into the final day playing in the final group on home soil, another great experience. With now 4 events left of LET Access, I wish Hanna all the best in her quest to finish Top 7. Thanks for a great chat, you done really well! Download via Podbean, Apple & Spotify.

In this latest episode I was pleased to be joined by this year’s English Women’s Open champion Tereza Zapletal Kozeluhova who joined from back home in the city of Plzen, Czech Republic after a great run of form this year which has led to her currently being 4th on LET Access Series standings in prime position to return to Ladies European Tour for 2027. Tereza is from Plzen which is the 3rd most populous city in Czechia and would win 2017 Austrian Junior International, 2018 RB German Junior and represent Czechia at European Girls’ Amateur Team Championships before turning professional in 2021. Tereza would also finish 6th at 2019 Czech Ladies Open on LET as an amateur. In Tereza’s own words it has been fun but a lot of struggle on tour since turning professional and were times where she started to question whether Golf was right for her anymore with some struggles on LET This year in 2026 season though however has changed after a solid start of 17th at Madaef Golf’s Open in Morocco and a 16th at Montauban, 21st at Czech Challenge & 61st at Royal Beroun for Czech Ladies Open then would come the best moment of her career as Tereza would navigate through a tough course at Manchester Golf Club to win at -12 by 1 shot to claim her maiden professional title at English Women’s Open which being there on site to witness is was expertly done and very special to watch and for Teri to win with her father on the bag will hold very special memories. After her win the good fork continued with a 3rd at Hanbury Manor, 8th at Irish Challenge, 4th at Himmerland in some of the most brutal weather conditions and 7th at Slovak Ladies Open. Thanks Tereza for letting me chat with you both after your win in England and on the podcast. All the best going forward!

We are back after a brief hiatus to recharge the batteries and I was joined by The New English Women’s Amateur Champion Ellise Rymer who joined me from back home after a mental few weeks winning English Women’s Amateur, making Final Qulifying for AIG Women’s Open, while also making all 3 rounds at English Women’s Open before due to go back to University life at University of Cincinatti in September. The pride of Lincolnshire, Ellise like most players would grow up playing most sports primarily Football before giving Golf a try. Ellise would win Scottish Under 16’s Championship in Stirling before in 2022 finishing 5th at R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship and also playing at World Junior Girls Championship in Canada. Ellise would also represent England at European Girls’ Amateur Team Championship in 2023, while in 2025 would see a 3rd at St Rule Trophy in Scotland. 2026 has been a whirlwind for the Lincolnshire star winning Lincolnshire Women’s County Championships, making her LPGA Tour debut at Kroger Queen City Championship where she managed to get some advice from none other than Charley Hull and finishing 53rd at English Women’s Open in Manchester on LET Access Series. But none of that is in comparison to the week at Moor Park Golf Club where Ellise would run through the field to become the new English Women’s Amateur Champion defeating Isabella Kent by 2up to win one of the most prestigious titles for every English player. Some say Ellise might still be in celebration mode for quite some time. If you love drivel also this podcast is for you as at the end we both go on a tangent of British TV iconic quotes, British Memes and of course the legendary Scottish Memes. Iconic! Thanks Ellise for agreeing to come on in your celebration period, had great fun. All the best back in the States pal. Download via Podbean, Apple Podcasts & Spotify.
