Beverly Hills isn’t the type of place where you expect someone to disappear without a trace. In fact, there are only two people on the city’s missing persons list. One of those people is Adam Hecht, the 23-year-old son of a successful Hollywood producer who grew up surrounded by movie stars, mansions, and privilege. But by 1989, Adam had become disillusioned with that lifestyle. He was spending time with Los Angeles’ homeless population, exploring mysticism, and had invited a homeless man to live in his apartment. Then, on June 7, Adam disappeared without a trace. 37 years later, investigators still don’t know what happened to him, and his disappearance remains one of Beverly Hills’ biggest mysteries. If you have information in this case, contact the Beverly Hills Police Department’s Detective Bureau at (310) 285-2158. On June 6, 1993, an armed man robbed the Be-Lo Supermarket in Windsor, North Carolina, before forcing six employees to the back of the store. There, the employees were directed to bind each other before the gunman attacked them with a gun and a butcher knife. Three of the victims died, while three survived. Despite the survivors helping investigators create a composite sketch, more than 33 years later, no one has ever been arrested. The triple homicide remains unsolved, and investigators are still searching for the person, or people, responsible. If you have information about this case, please call the Windsor Police Department (252) 794-3111. A $30,000 reward is available.
