» Produced by Hack You Media: pioneering a new category of content at the intersection of health performance, entrepreneurship & cognitive optimisation. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hackyoumedia/ Website: https://hackyou.media/ Michael Gervais spent 25 years coaching world-class athletes and discovered that fear of other people's opinions is more powerful than most realise it is. He explains why our brains are still running prehistoric programming and why the best in the world treat psychology like a separate skill to train, not a weakness. The uncomfortable truth about entrepreneurship and growth, it requires tolerating cold air on your skin, and most people retreat the moment it hurts. 00:00 Introduction 04:20 Personal struggles and psychology in sports 09:05 Big wave surfing and lessons on focus 14:37 Experiencing stress in entrepreneurship and optimism 21:55 The essence of adventure in entrepreneurship 29:40 Real-life examples of handling stress and leadership 34:11 Team dynamics versus individual coaching effectiveness 38:51 Mental imagery and powerful future visioning 44:23 Overcoming FOPO and building self-confidence 50:37 Skills and mindset investment for personal growth 56:33 Perspectives on handling high-pressure moments 1:04:11 Balancing personal and professional lives effectively 1:10:43 Building a positive mindset and tackling challenges » Escape the 9-5 & build your dream life - https://www.digitalplaybook.net/ » Transform your physique - https://www.thrstapp.com/ » My clothing brand, THRST - https://thrstofficial.com/ » Discover Bioniq Lab peptide products - https://bioniqlab.com/mike10 10% off with code MIKE10 » Join our newsletter for actionable insights from every episode: https://thrst-letter.beehiiv.com/ » Join Whoop and get your first month for free - join.whoop.com/FirstThingsThrst » Follow Michael Gervais Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelgervais/?hl=en Website: https://www.instagram.com/michaelgervais/?hl=en
