Season 3: E3: Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors…How Do You Actually Start a Scrapbook Layout?

How do you start a scrapbook layout when you have photos, beautiful scrapbook collections, and plenty of sketches but still feel stuck? In this episode of Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors, Lisa from Life in Layouts and Nicole from ColieBing share how they approach scrapbook layout design when starting with products, photos, or a story they want to tell. They discuss choosing scrapbook collections, finding the right sketch, using older scrapbook supplies, shopping your stash, adapting sketches to fit your photos, and finding creative inspiration in unexpected places. Through real layout examples, honest conversations about creative blocks, and plenty of differences in their scrapbooking styles, Lisa and Nicole explore why choosing a starting point can feel so difficult and how too many creative options can get in the way. Whether you are a beginner scrapbooker or an experienced memory keeper, this episode offers practical ideas to help you get unstuck, use the supplies you already own, and find a scrapbooking process that works for you. Because there is no single right way to start a scrapbook page. You just have to find what works for you!
