Description
What if something you've believed about God your entire life...wasn't true? 😳
How do you KNOW what you believe is true? Because your parents taught you? Your pastor said it? Or because you've opened your Bible and discovered the truth for yourself?
I spent 14 years practicing a religion I believed was teaching me the truth about God. I attended meetings, studied, knocked on doors, and genuinely LOVED God.
But I didn't KNOW Him.
After years of painful losses, religious disappointment, and running from God, something happened that changed my life. I experienced His love, began searching for answers, and finally heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But then came a frightening question:
If I'd been deceived before...HOW COULD I KNOW I WASN'T BEING DECEIVED AGAIN?
In this episode of Real Talk with Rosie, we're finishing Step Two of our 12 Steps to Freedom journey: "Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity."
We'll talk about spiritual discernment, testing what we're taught against Scripture, the Holy Spirit's guidance, and the difference between knowing ABOUT Jesus and truly KNOWING Him.
Because the Gospel isn't about earning God's love through religious works. It's about salvation through Jesus Christ and a life of transformation!
👑 ROSIE'S KINGDOM PRINCIPLE
Just because I've believed something my whole life doesn't make it true. I must be willing to examine what I believe against God's Word, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
📖 LET'S DO SOME KINGDOM INVENTORY!
1. How do I know what I believe about God is true? Have I examined it in Scripture?
2. Have painful experiences shaped my picture of God more than what Jesus reveals about the Father?
3. Have I confused religious activity with having a relationship with Jesus?
4. Am I willing to let the Holy Spirit correct something I believe?
5. Can I see evidence that knowing Jesus is transforming how I live?
THE BIG QUESTION: If Scripture challenged something I've believed my entire life, would I be willing to change my mind?
💬 Choose ONE question and share your thoughts in the comments. Your testimony may be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.
📖 Scriptures: Acts 17:11 | 1 John 4:1 | 2 Timothy 3:16–17 | Matthew 7:21–23 | 2 Corinthians 5:17
