Tap ’er Light Special Olympics basketball

The Special Olympics State Basketball tournament will be held in gyms throughout the Mining City next month. If you have the time, I suggest that you volunteer to help out with the tournament. They need volunteers for so many jobs, and that includes refereeing the basketball games. I first volunteered to referee when the tournament came to Butte in 2019. I did it again in 2022 when the tournament returned after COVID. If there is one thing better than watching the Special Olympics, it is volunteering to be involved in the Special Olympics. Right now, we need a lot of people to sign up to volunteer. Sign up at SOMT.org. Trust me, you will thank me if you do. That is what today’s column is about.
