A head-on collision. A split-second impact. Then the long, unglamorous work of rebuilding a life. Sherri Reinfurt joins us from New Hampshire with a story that still feels unreal: two days after an NFL cheerleader reunion, she and her daughter are hit by a driver who falls asleep and crosses the double yellow line. Doctors tell them most people don’t survive this kind of crash and now Sherri is learning to live in a new body, with a broken right hand, concussion symptoms, broken ribs, and a daughter healing from a broken back and internal injuries.
We talk about what recovery really looks like when you can’t do the basics without help and when your mind cycles through gratitude, grief, and anger that your life changed without your permission. Sherri shares how faith-based healing, accepting support, and doing one normal thing can keep you grounded when everything feels fragile. She also explains why injury can feel like mourning the death of your old self and how that pain can also become an opening to choose a healthier identity.
Doug and Ted tie Sherry’s resilience to a practical framework we can all use: a three-month consistency challenge built on small daily promises. Not more hype, not a “go hard” burst, but habit formation, discipline, and documenting progress so you can actually see change. You’ll also hear about Sherri’s “From Impact to Purpose” Christian healing and coloring journal, created to process emotions and even strengthen her left hand during rehab.
