Description
When every new month depends on finding brand-new clients, it’s very hard to create consistency in your styling business. You can have a great month, do really good work, and still look at the next month wondering where the next round of clients is going to come from. One of the places I see stylists leave a lot of opportunity on the table is with the people who have already hired them, already trust them, and already know what it’s like to work together.
My client Julia Nauer has spent the last year making repeat clients a much bigger part of her business, and they now account for roughly 30 to 40 percent of her revenue. What I like about her story is that this wasn’t the result of one giant change. She got clearer about how clients could continue working with her, became more willing to reach back out instead of waiting for people to come back on their own, and kept working on the smaller things that made the business feel more consistent overall.
In this episode of The Six Figure Personal Stylist Podcast, Julia and I talk about the changes she’s made since joining the Income Accelerator Mentorship last fall and the role repeat clients have played in creating more consistency. We also get into what she’s learned about marketing, visibility, and treating the business more like a business as she continues to grow.

4:21 – How motherhood helped Julia put more structure around her schedule and client work
5:52 – The changes that helped Julia create more consistency and increase her repeat client rate
7:17 – Reaching back out to past clients instead of waiting for them to come back on their own
9:10 – Why Julia was overthinking her marketing and what helped her simplify the way she talks to clients
11:37 – The smaller changes Julia made over time instead of rebuilding her entire styling business
13:15 – Expanding visibility beyond social media through speaking, TV, and in-person opportunities
16:34 – Separating herself from the business and taking client responses less personally

22:42 – Where Julia wants to take her styling business next as she continues to grow
