Most people meet the four horsemen and see a catalogue of disasters. That is not what John saw. Revelation tells one story from several angles. First the seven churches, which show God's people from the inside — what they loved, what they lost, what Christ commended and rebuked. Then the seven seals, which show the same centuries from the outside: what the church went through in each age, and how her career looked to the watching universe. The letters are the diagnosis. The seals are the biography. And the horse is not a disaster. Scripture defines its own symbols, and it calls God's people His horse: "the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle" (Zechariah 10:3). Compare Song of Solomon 1:9. So when the first seal opens and a white horse rides out conquering, we are watching the apostolic church go forth from A.D. 31 in purity, with the gospel arrow in her bow, carrying the message into all the world. Even the crown tells you which story you are in. It is stephanos, the victor's wreath given to a runner who finished — not diadema, the band a king wears by right. This is a church that overcame, not a church that seized power. This is where the seal gets misread. Many take the horsemen as nothing but future catastrophe and skip the history entirely. Others read only the history and miss that the pattern comes round again. Both halves belong: each seal had its age, and each returns in the last days in the form its end-time application describes. The white horse rides once at Pentecost and rides again before the end, when the latter rain falls and this gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world for a witness (Matthew 24:14). If someone were to ask you, "where are we in the stream of time?" How would you answer? One way to response would be: We are in the age of the 7th church of Revelation, Laodicea. And there may be no message more directly aimed at the condition of God’s people living at the end of time. In this episode of The Truth Project, Matthew Schanche and Andrew Bikichky uncover the deep meaning within God's message to the 7th church of Revelation. Laodicea means “people of the judgment,” and this study presents the final church as existing during the judgment-hour period, when Christ identifies Himself as “the Amen, the faithful and true witness” and exposes a church that believes it is spiritually rich while being unable to see its true condition. Jesus does not accuse Laodicea of open unbelief. Its danger is far more subtle: lukewarm Christianity. It has religion, knowledge and outward profession, but lacks the transforming power of Christ within. The historical city makes Christ’s language unmistakable. Laodicea was extraordinarily wealthy, famous for banking and gold, renowned for its glossy black wool, associated with medical treatment for the eyes, and supplied by water that arrived lukewarm and unpleasant. Christ takes everything the city trusted in and turns it into a spiritual diagnosis: you think you are rich, yet you are poor; you manufacture clothing, yet you are naked; you treat the eyes, yet you are blind. But Laodicea is not a message of hopelessness. Christ gives the cure Himself: gold tried in the fire, white raiment, and eyesalve. This study follows those symbols through Scripture—gold connected with tested faith, the white garment with the righteousness that comes through Christ rather than our own works, and the eyesalve with the spiritual sight and conviction brought by the Spirit of God. And then comes one of the most sobering pictures in all of Revelation: Jesus is standing outside the door of His own church, knocking. The answer to Laodicea is not simply possessing more information about Christ—it is Christ in you, the hope of glory. The presentation connects this experience with the finishing of the “mystery of God,” the judgment, and a people being transformed into the image of Christ by His Spirit. The final church receives the strongest rebuke—but it also receives one of the greatest promises ever given: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame.” Laodicea’s greatest problem is not that Christ has abandoned His church. It is that the church can become so satisfied with itself that it does not realize Christ is standing outside asking to come in. The Religious Liberty Commission Report is out—and what we found inside its 224 pages should concern every Christian who believes in freedom of conscience. We'll cut right to the chase as to what is really happening with this commission and its report. The religious liberty this commission is describing is the liberty to force or coerce others into believing what they believe. After seven hearings, more than 100 witnesses, and direct involvement from the Department of Justice, the Commission is now recommending a major reexamination of the Establishment Clause, the meaning of separation of church and state, and the proper relationship between religion and government in America. In this episode, Matthew Schanche and Andrew Bikichky go far beyond the headlines. Count the room first. Of 36 commissioners and advisors: 24 Liberty University affiliates. 23 Heritage Foundation. 13 tied to Project 2025. 4 Opus Dei. 4 Jesuits. 3 Knights of Columbus. 2 Knights of Malta. Roman nobility. Catholic prelates seated beside Protestant pastors on the same panel — the threefold union in one photograph. What they're asking for. A Commission whose stated cause is religious liberty, but whose recommendations are presidential proclamations of holy days, calls to prayer and fasting, and a permanent enforcement apparatus in every federal agency, all fifty states, and internationally. That is the power of the state carrying Christian observance — and the state has only one tool: compulsion. Their own definition convicts them. The report says the Constitution bars "actual legal coercion." Then read Project 2025 p.589 — a federal law paying premium wages for work on a day that "would default to Sunday." By their own test, that's an establishment. And the calendar. The Hanke-Henry Permanent Calendar, promoted by the Cato Institute, now makes Sunday the 7th day — breaking the unbroken Saturday-Sabbath based seven-day cycle that has run since creation. This, all at the behest of the Papacy, who "Think to change times and laws." — Daniel 7:25 "Protestants little know what they are doing when they propose to accept the aid of Rome in the work of Sunday exaltation. While they are bent upon the accomplishment of their purpose, Rome is aiming to re-establish her power." — The Great Controversy, 573 Jesus warned us that deception would be one of the defining characteristics of the last days.
