Your Identity Is More Than Your Circumstances | Revelation 7 | Part 15

Welcome to Woody! In Revelation 7, we’re given a powerful picture of what it means to belong to God. Following the question at the end of Revelation 6 — “Who can stand?” — we see that it isn’t the strongest, richest or most powerful who stand, but those who belong to the Lamb. Josh explores what it means to find our identity in Christ rather than in our circumstances, achievements, failures or what other people think of us. Revelation also gives us a beautiful picture of a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people and language, reminding us that God’s kingdom is bigger than any one culture or background. But this chapter is also deeply comforting. Following Jesus doesn’t mean we will never suffer, but it does mean we never suffer alone. The Lamb who was slain becomes our Shepherd, leading us to living water, caring for us and ultimately wiping away every tear. Whether you are exploring faith, have questions about Christianity, or have followed Jesus for years, we hope this message encourages you to remember where your identity is found and to trust Christ in the middle of uncertainty.
