104. What Nobody Tells You About Building, Scaling, and Selling Your Business with Lindsay Pinchuk
In today's episode I'm chatting with Lindsay Pinchuk, founder of Dear Founder and the woman behind Bump Club and Beyond, the prenatal events company she built from a handful of Chicago meetups into a national brand working with Target, Nordstrom, and every major baby brand you can think of. Lindsay is so raw and real and she truly lays it all out there in today's episode. We get into: How Lindsay hired her first employee before she could technically afford one Why staying flexible with how people work for you (hourly, commission, fractional) let her scale without burying herself in payroll What actually happened during the time of selling her business Why she walked away from Bump Club Her Sweep framework, the exact system she uses to make one piece of content show up on social, her website, email, at events, through partnerships, and in press How to become known for something and tell your story CONNECT WITH LINDSAY http://foundherfiles.substack.com http://www.instagram.com/dearfoundher Learn more about Brand in Full Color: https://solbritestudio.com/services Apply to work with me: https://solbritestudio.com/contact Free Resources: solbritestudio.com/free-resources Connect: Website: solbritestudio.com Instagram: @solbritestudio Pinterest: @solbritestudio Blog: https://solbritestudio.com/blog/ Want to be a guest? → Schedule an interview If you loved this episode, please subscribe, rate, and review the podcast! 101. How Design is Felt Through the Body with Carrie Montgomery
In today's episode, I am chatting with Carrie Montgomery, the founder of Hypnotic Branding -- a brand strategy approach that treats the nervous system and subconscious as the real architecture of a brand. This episode was truly incredible as we talked about the link between the nervous system and personal branding and how design can really be felt and interpreted through the body. As a designer, I was obsessed with everything in this conversation, especially when it came to how design evokes emotion and how those emotions help buyers make a decision. We talked about how so many founders end up building a brand that is a complete mismatch from who they are as they try to do what is working for others in the industry. We get into why this is, what this is actually telling you about your subconscious mind, and how founders can navigate this. Carrie also walks us through the exact drills she uses to calm her nervous system before getting on camera as well as, some other helpful tips for founders that would rather not be the face of their brand. We cover: How the body holds on to things we experience and how those experiences can affect how we show up in our businesses Why trying to mimic or recreate a brand you admire never works long term How design affects buyers decisions through a felt sense What's actually happening in your body when you're camera shy, and the specific drills she teaches clients to build capacity for visibility How to know if you need a personal brand and what to do if you're a founder who doesn't want to be the face of your brand CONNECT WITH CARRIE https://www.carriemontgomery.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realcarriemontgomery/ Freebie: https://www.carriemontgomery.com/free-centering-med Learn more about Brand in Full Color: https://solbritestudio.com/services Apply to work with me: https://solbritestudio.com/contact Free Resources: solbritestudio.com/free-resources Connect: Website: solbritestudio.com Instagram: @solbritestudio Pinterest: @solbritestudio Blog: https://solbritestudio.com/blog/ Want to be a guest? → Schedule an interview If you loved this episode, please subscribe, rate, and review the podcast!
